  Good news from WASt

Hi Roman,

good, quick news from WASt: Like me, you got (or will soon get) a letter from WASt now re: the find of the ID tag you mentioned above. They made a research and found out that this soldier indeed died in Slowakia in 1945. Closer details they told us in the letter. Please don't communicate these details here, keep it only private! Only by mail between you and me we both can communicate this case.

It would be great now if you can find out where exactly this soldier and his tag had been found on the mountain mentioned in the letter. If so, please tell the WASt (and please only the WASt!) where his grave exactly is. By your help they would be able to clear this unsolved case of this KIA/MIA soldier. That would be great to know for his family!

Like I did before, they also mention that the question of the ID tag being original or fake can only be answered by giving this ID tag directly to the WASt for closer examination.

Thanks so much for your efforts and your kind help, Roman!

Hi Jurgen,
today I get answer from Wast. Working hard on find out position of grave or rest of this soldier. My friend work on it, for this time he know (so I know too) that there are two graves, so maybe I will have two places of two soldiers.
But obtain IDs (EM) from this thief will be impossible.
If I know any news I write to you pm and of course to Wast.

You can find forgotten military grave even after 67 years. It is photo of grave which I mentioned above. Finally I found place described by man, whose brother burried this soldier in 1945.

There is written:
Here unknown german soldier rests. Maybe my father or mother, maybe my wife or children think long me and I sleep sweetly on your hill.Rest in peace.
